As I was riding my bicycle some distance to brunch with my husband I could not help from noticing all of the litter on the side of the road, and along the edge of more populated parts of the bike trail. As we went past some garbage cans some were filled and overflowing with waste.
Just because we have disposed of plastic in a bin, the story is not over tere. Plastic is light and is easily carried from even landfill, let alone uncovered garbage bins.
The only way to ensure that you and I are not contributing to the speckling of plastic lietter everywhere is to NOT purchase plastic initially. Those plastic forks & kniver with the plastic take out containers – all contribute.
Make a difference by stopping the tidal wave of plastic. Take the REFUSE Pledge, and do not accept disposable plastic.
